Parents: A Team Approach
BIS believes God has given parents the responsibility of training their children. Most parents choose a school to help them with the incredible task of education. Parental involvement in a child's education is vital to the success of the student. We encourage parents to be involved in the educational process by communicating regularly with teachers via email, notes, and student agendas. We also welcome parent volunteers as room parents, recess monitors, Library helpers, and to help with special events. Parents are encouraged to attend school events, such as the Science Fair, International Fair, and Brazil Day as well as events throughout Reading Month, and our Children's Day celebration. We also hope that all parents will get involved with Parents Assisting Others (PAO).
